This one is an official World Cup promotional shirt. It was released during the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, where AB InBev used to promote the Jupiler beer.
I got this one at Le Bistroquet back in 2018 World Cup in NYC, that till now was the most fun World Cup ever, at my opinion… let’s see what this one brings.
This Jersey was handled to me after Brasil loss against Belgium, damn I ate that sweet chocolate till I couldn’t anymore… let me explain:
We had left Brasil x Mexico game In Queens, NYC with our beloved Balde heading to Manhattan thru Times Square. As we had won and supposed to play against the winner of Belgium x Japan, I had the great idea to go to a Belgium bar to watch that match. The Brasil fans were like 10 people, one dressed with a gorgeous orange jersey (me) without the famous yellow because some political issues in my country back in time.
Anyways, we walked inside a packed, like 100 Belgium fans and leading the way dressed up on a vintage Netherlands jersey I got from my friend Daniel Mucida. Not the best idea for sure… (had no idea they “like” the dutch, lol)
Soooo, with all nerves up and almost some fights, we almost got Japan but Belgium end up winning that match and they ask us to come back to watch Brasil x Belgium, so we did.
Again still with the Laranja Mecânica Jersey, we showed up and what a match, good times, good people and amazing laughs, we lost the match, so after that all the fans told me to remove the jersey, I did as an honorable man, they gave me this one and some good but good sweet chocolate that I had till almost the end of the cup.
Like I said, World Cup is a time of life to enjoy good vibes and fun, not fights, no to wars and for sure no to racism of any kind, you can have forever friendships from those times and unity or just be a fake person disrespecting the others, really up to you.
Thank you Belgium fans, what an amazing memory.
